The Razzie Awards are the joke of the awards community, handed out annually to films and stars viewed as the worst of that given year. Some people view film awards as arbitrary and largely hollow prizes, and many of the annual Razzie nominees only to serve to validate that perception as the Razzies don’t typically go to the bottom of the barrel, but to high-profile films. Some believe this is merely attention-seeking an obnoxious, and the films on this year’s shortlist aren’t doing anything to contradict that sentiment.

Weekend Box Office Report: 'The Purge' Can't Wipe Out the Planet of the Apes
Despite three very different new challengers, 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' continued to rule over the box office this weekend. This doesn't spell disaster for the newcomers, but it does spell further success for the sequel to 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes,' which is riding extremely positive word of mouth to a big box office tally.

In 'Sex Tape,' Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz play a married couple who accidentally load a sex tape to their cloud, which results in the couple having to collect all of the iPads they gave out as gifts in order to save embarrassment. Anyway, this could never happen. But, hey, it's a movie, and movie sometimes have to stretch reality in order to be entertaining and interesting -- which 'Sex Tape' didn't accomplish either.

Why Would Apple Agree to Have Their Products in ‘Sex Tape’?
Jake Kasdan’s ‘Sex Tape’ isn’t the first film to focus on the horrors of technology run amok – though it sure is nice to see a film that’s not about murderous cell phones or homicidal fax machines. But, it is unique in its relentless portrayal of demonizing real world items that are both ubiquitous and quite useful. The comedy might be packed with villains, from creepy teen texters to weirdo friends, but the real bad guy of ‘Sex Tape’ is Apple products.

‘Sex Tape’ and the Problem With Movies About Married People With Boring Problems
Did you hear the one about getting married and having a family? When you get married and have children, you no longer get to have sex. This basic knowledge has become such a tired movie cliche and yet entire films continue to be built around it, including 'Sex Tape,' the new film that reunites 'Bad Teacher' director Jake Kasdan with his stars Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel -- a combination that should make for easy entertainment, but instead lends itself to exasperated groans.

The Fun Ellie Kemper
Every so often, during a press day that seems endless for everyone involved, something that at least resembles "reality" can occur. It's an odd thing, really: Because on a day like this, most people involved are seeking something that doesn't feel manufactured, even though it's almost impossible to find. Anyway, that's my overly hyperbolic way of saying, "Talking to Ellie Kemper was a delight."

Jason Segel Sparks the Best Conversation About Sandwiches
This is what every talk-show appearance should really be like. Jason Segel hit 'The Late Show' last night to talk about some pretty basic bits -- how and why he lost weight for 'Sex Tape,' his theory on chip intake at Mexican restaurants, host David Letterman's wonderful pronunciation of "taco," and all that jazz -- before getting to the real meat of the appearance. The sandwich meat, if you will.

It's hard to keep things fresh in your relationship after 10 years of marriage and two kids -- which is why Cameron Diaz straps on a pair of rollerskates (and very little else) in the first clip from 'Sex Tape,' in an effort to try and seduce her husband while the kids are away for the night.

The first 'Sex Tape' trailer (the red-band edition, by the way) shows a film that reunites 'Bad Teacher' stars Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel with director Jake Kasdan for another round of debauchery. This time the couple get themselves in trouble when they try to spice up their love life with some filmed sexual hijinks that they don't know how to delete.

Long in development, Jason Segel and director Jake Kasdan have been trying to get the film 'Sex Tape' going for over a year. When we last reported the duo were looking to reunite with their 'Bad Teacher' star Cameron Diaz, and now -- a year later -- it looks like that's finally going to happen.
