Just one day after Arrow, Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow hit their crossover height, a very real issue brings them back to Earth. Allegations of sexual harassment against Supergirl producer Andrew Kreisberg have officially resulted in Warner Bros. firing the former showrunner.

At long last, The CW will finally treat Arrow, Flash, Legends and Supergirl to a proper four-way crossover with the two-night “Crisis on Earth-X.” The yearly event is always a highlight, but did you realize that The CW’s DC superheroes have met onscreen no less than twenty-five times? If the “Invasion!” weren’t bad enough, now the stars of Arrow, Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow have a “Crisis on Earth-X” to contend with. Supergirl has its own Super-mythology separate from The CW’s Smallville, though fans are more than happy to draw connections between the pair. That is, until Season 3’s “Midvale” made reference to one of Smallville‘s original creations, which itself has become the focus of a real-life sex cult investigation.

Late Friday saw Supergirl and Flash fans taken aback with word that producer Andrew Kreisberg had his own streak of sexual harassment. That put the stars in a difficult position, but Melissa Benoist herself has now spoken up about “refusing to accept an environment that is anything less than a safe, respectful and collaborative space,” as have other Arrow cast.

The tidal wave of Hollywood sexual harassment has reached The CW. At least nineteen employees have come forth against Flash and Supergirl executive producer Andrew Kreisberg with multiple allegations, for which Warner Bros. TV has officially suspended him.

Supergirl got the short end of the crossover stick when Arrow, Flash and Legends convened last year, but our first look at “Crisis on Earth-X” is already making up for it. Check out first footage from the crossover event later this month, as Supergirl brings a new character to Earth-1.
