Orphan Black joined the ranks of 2017 series debuting later in the year than we’ve come to expect, but the fifth and final season will no less bring some major changes to the show’s DNA. Case in point, our first teaser for the June premiere sees Sarah sticking up for her clone sisters, but will they all live through the final season?

We’re generally used to fresh Orphan Black episodes in the spring, but it seems everyone these days is pushing back premieres. So it is, that the fifth and final season of the BBC-A’s clone drama has confirmed a summer return date for “The Final Trip.”

The fourth and penultimate season of Orphan Black finally swung back to explain how Tatiana Maslany’s Beth Childs ended up on that train platform in the pilot, but how different might the series have been if Sarah had Beth to guide her? Ahead of the final season, a new IDW Deviations comic will explore exactly that.

Few were surprised to see Orphan Black closing up shop after a proposed fifth season, though star Tatiana Maslany‘’s deserved Emmy win perhaps complicated feelings of saying goodbye. In any case, the cast is all smiles as the fifth and final season kicks off production, sharing the first photos.

At this year’s Emmys the actress categories are undoubtedly the most contentious. From Taraji P. Henson to Viola Davis to Claire Danes, you couldn’t go with a wrong choice in the Outstanding Actress Drama category. But this year’s award went to an unexpected choice: Tatiana Maslany.

French filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard once said that all you need for a good movie is a girl and a gun. If the trailer for Two Lovers and a Bear is any indication, Godard probably meant to say, “a girl and a polar bear,” but we’ll forgive him for not knowing this was a possibility at the time.

Boy, that was quick. 2016 Emmy nominees were announced this morning, and special presenters Lauren Graham and (a very excitable) Anthony Anderson wasted no time in revealing this year’s crop of nominees. While there was rightfully plenty of love to go around for dramas like The People v. O.J. Simpson and Mr. Robot, and comedy faves Veep and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, there were a few disappointments — namely, where the hell is UnREAL?! Or The Leftovers? Come on, Emmys.

It seems like only yesterday we learned that Orphan Black would close down #CloneClub for good with Season 5, but we can’t well wait until summer 2017 for a proper send-off. Thankfully, Comic-Con 2016 will give us the Orphan Black goodbye we deserve, along with an introduction to Max Landis’ Dirk Gently, but where’s Doctor Who?

And lo, another season of Orphan Black has come to an end with Thursday’s fourth-year finale “From Dancing Mice to Psychopaths,” a climax bolstered by the recent announcement of Season 5's renewal and conclusion.
