The Boys

Preacher is about to close the book on Season 2, but another Seth Rogen-Evan Goldberg-Garth Ennis collaboration might be heating up. Initially eyed for Cinemax, a take on superhero satire The Boys is nearing a straight-to-series order at Amazon.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg may have succeeded against odds in bringing Garth Ennis classic Preacher to life on AMC, but can lightning strike twice to bring the artist’s superhero-smashing The Boys to Cinemax? A new interview sees Rogen on the decision to attack the superhero world (with or without Simon Pegg’s help), while Ennis says “Sick of superheroes? Because we are.”

One Garth Ennis comic adaptation for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg simply wasn’t enough, and now the duo are at it again. Following initial development, the two will next direct and produce an adaptation of Ennis’ superhero-policing The Boys at Cinemax, written by a familiar name for Supernatural fans.

Every director out there has his or her dream project that they hope to get on the big screen one day, but the thing about those movies is that half of the time they don't even pass the development stage. Maybe luck has finally reached director Adam McKay's side for his long in-development project 'The Boys' if Paramount has anything to do with it.
