Sure, HBO may have had a few eyes on an anticipated Sunday premiere, but we all know Danny McBride and Walton Goggins are the real draw. See for yourself, as HBO’s Vice Principals gets an impressively profane new trailer ahead of its July premiere.

Sure, this Sunday will kick off HBO’s spring 2016 with the likes of Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley and Veep, but what of summer? Never you fear, for Dwayne Johnson’s Ballers will arrive in July, along with the long-awaited debut of Danny McBride and Walton Goggins’ new comedy Vice Principals.

It’s kind of incredible that Danny McBride is capable of essentially playing variations on the same obnoxious, narcissistic and myopic character without audiences ever growing tired of his schtick. Unlike similarly repetitive character actors, McBride continues to both amaze and amuse with his crassly inappropriate and delightfully dumb humor, and Vice Principals is no exception. HBO’s latest miniseries is a more than worthy successor to Eastbound and Down, reuniting McBride with directors Jody Hill and David Gordon Green for another devious comedy — this time set in the world of high school administration.

The names Danny McBride, Walton Goggins, and the minds behind Eastbound & Down were more than enough to sell us on the new HBO comedy Vice Principals, but the first trailer really puts it over the mark. See for yourself in the new footage, along with a first poster and a July premiere.

HBO has been cranking up the Game of Thrones marketing early for Season 6, first a poster, then a trailer teasing Jon Snow’s return, and before 2015 is even out, we’ve been blessed with the first footage. The upcoming end of FX’s ‘Justified’ will loose a tremendous amount of talent to the TV market, and HBO isn’t wasting time picking up one of the show’s biggest assets. Walton Goggins has joined the cast of Danny McBride’s ‘Eastbound & Down’ followup ‘Vice Principals,’ also adding ‘Agent Carter’’s Shea Whigham to a cast that’s rounding out nicely.

Considering just how well 'Eastbound and Down' ended, it was only a matter of time before Danny McBride and Jody Hill came back to HBO with another series. And lo and behold, that series has been announced. The duo that created the amazing monstrosity known as Kenny Powers will return to the small screen with 'Vice Principals.'
