Now that HBO’s Deadwood finally seems on track for a feature follow-up, as well as the network’s overall trend of movie closure (see: Looking, Hello Ladies), one wonders what became of Jonathan Ames’ Bored to Death after its promised movie. 'Masterminds' Trailer: Zach Galifianakis Tries to Rob a Bank
Back in March we saw the first teaser trailer for Masterminds, the new comedy from the director of Napoleon Dynamite, starring Kristen Wiig, Zach Galifianakis and Owen Wilson. That sounds like quite the lineup of comedic talent in a film that may very well redeem director Jared Hess after his follow-up films underperformed and were poorly-received by critics and audiences. The new, full trailer is quite promising, and even more promising are the writing credits: Eastbound and Down collaborators Jody Hill and Danny McBride.

Let’s go back. Back in time before Paul Feig swooped in to direct an all-female ‘Ghostbusters’ reboot which we’re actually excited about. Back in time to when the long-gestating ‘Ghostbusters 3’ was still a possibility, a sequel that most people didn’t really want. Back here in the land that time forgot, original ‘Ghostbusters’ director and producer Ivan Reitman was planning to helm the long-delayed third installment in the franchise, and according to some recently uncovered e-mails from Sony, we now know what that sequel would have been called—and who might have starred in it.
