We've heard of a few upcoming projects on TNT's development slate over the past season, though still waiting on a 'Lost Angels' update, but the latest to feature the return of Geena Davis and 'Star Trek: Enterprise' star Scott Bakula, sadly, won't come to pass. TNT has officially passed on a new bounty-hunter drama loosely based on the real-life story of bounty hunter Mackenzie Green, which would have included several other notable TV returns.

Deadline first reported the news, adding that TNT brass most likely passed on the project for its general tone, which didn't fit the brand. Davis would have returned to the limelight in the role of an unconventional bail bondswoman and bounty hunter, whose eccentric personality and unusual tactics give her an advantage in the unpredictable line of work.

The untitled series would also have featured 'Men of a Certain Age' star Scott Bakula returning to TNT as Davis' character's former husband, a cop. Among the other members of the pilot's cast were current 'Falling Skies' star (uh-oh) Gloria Reuben in the role of an assistant DA, Marsha Mason as Davis' mother, and 'Veronica Mars' vet Enrico Colantoni as the character's former accountant.

The project hailed from Dean Devlin’s Electric Entertainment, Ternion Productions and 3 Arts, and was written by Scott Prendergast and Amy Berg. Are you disappointed that TNT opted not to go through with the pilot?
