Now that 'Game of Thrones' star Natalie Dormer will begin her three-episode 'Elementary' arc tonight, leading up to next week's finale, the major question of the season lingers as to whether or not the modern Sherlock Holmes tale will finally introduce Sherlock's greatest nemesis, the enigmatic Moriarty. We can't say for sure, but at the very least, we know one thing! Sherlock's season 2 premiere will hop across the pond to film. Now the question is, what would bring Sherlock Holmes back to his previous stomping grounds?

CBS' modern Sherlock Holmes procedural 'Elementary' has a number of mysteries to solve in the final three hours of the season, among them is the true fate of Irene Adler ('Captain America's' Natalie Dormer) and the true identity of 'Elementary's' Moriarty. That hasn't stopped the series from plotting its season 2 arc. Via CBS, we've learned that the season 2 opener of the series will film in Sherlock's (Jonny Lee Miller) London home, to revisit an old case and face his past as Watson learns even more about her partner's past.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have this opportunity to see Sherlock’s old stomping grounds and take a closer look at a life that, until now, we’ve only been able to glimpse through the lens of his recovery,” said series creator Robert Dohert. “By meeting old friends and revisiting prior cases, Watson will gain even more insight into Holmes. She’ll have to keep up with a Sherlock who is both more comfortable in his surroundings and even bolder in testing the limits of those around him.”

Hopefully we'll get a clue of the season 2 mystery in next week's two-hour finale, but what say you? Are you excited to see what twists 'Elementary' brings into its season 1 endgame? What would you like to see season 2 tackle? Check out the latest preview below:
