Lin-Manuel Miranda Will Retell ‘Hamilton’ on ‘Drunk History’
We’re all still collectively grieving the major cast members of Hamilton leaving the show behind, but with it, their slow TV takeover has begun. Lin-Manuel Miranda himself will even drop by Drunk History this coming season, re-telling the tale of Alexander Hamilton to boot!
As confirmed at Comic-Con 2016, Miranda will make his drunk hosting debut on the four-season Comedy Central favorite, retelling the famous rivalry between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr, as only he can. Amusingly, Miranda noted late last year that Drunk History had already technically recreated said events, after which he’d likely need a different story to tell:
Miranda’s isn’t the only major name appearing this season, itself set to premiere on September, as the new episodes will also feature Allan McLeod, Billie Joe Armstrong, Steve Berg, Mae Whitman, Paget Brewster, Busy Phillips, Rachel Bilson, Michael Cera, Josh Charles, Kat Dennings, Ben Folds, Dave Grohl, Tony Hale, Ed Helms, Thomas Middleditch, Elizabeth Olsen, Aubrey Plaza, Ronda Rousey, Liev Schreiber, Alia Shawkat and Duncan Trussell.
We’ll be in the room where it happens this fall, but what new Hamilton insight might Lin-Manuel Miranda offer to Drunk History?
