From the moment it was announced, the remake of 'RoboCop' has courted controversy and fan outcries. The first trailer did little to assuage people. Neither did the second. But, will a full clip from the finished film actually change their mind?

The answer to that mostly rhetorical question is "Ehhh, probably not," but the clip itself is totally fine, if also totally unremarkable.

The scene above gives us a look at Alex Murphy's (Joel Kinnaman) first trial run after he's transformed into the titular cyborg, pitting him and his combat trainer (Jackie Earle Haley) against a team of a robots in an abandoned warehouse. Although the thought of a shootout in an abandoned warehouse should get your '80s alarm ringing, the results couldn't look more modern. This RoboCop is fast, slick and moves like a real machine. Purists are surely going to miss Peter Weller's unique walk (and even more unique line delivery), but if you're hoping that the remake is a competent action movie with some nifty special effects on display, this clip will satisfy your expectations.

'RoboCop' is directed by Jose Padilha and arrives in theaters on February 12, 2014. The film also stars Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish, Samuel L. Jackson, Jay Baruchel and Michael K. Williams.
