Sean Astin is set to star in the upcoming movie 'Cabin Fever: Patient Zero.' It's kind of a different role for Sean, who grew up exploring caves and playing for college football teams. Now he's going deep into the woods to try and survive the dreaded curse of the scary horror sequel.

Astin will star alongside Brando Eaton and Ben Hollingsworth in this Indomnia production that is slated to begin shooting August 13th in the Dominican Republic. Variety reported this, though they confusingly suggest that two movies are going to be shooting at the same time.

According to Variety, 'Cabin Fever: Patient Zero' is about "a bachelor party cruise in the Caribbean that unexpectedly runs ashore on a medical research island, where a deadly virus is unleashed." Take out the bachelor party part and it sounds like the plot from Uwe Boll's 'House of the Dead.'

Kaare Andrews - who was a writer for the Marvel comic book titles 'The Incredible Hulk,' 'Ultimate X-Men' and 'Spider-Man: Reign' - will be making his full-length feature debut. He also worked on the horror movie "Altitude" and "V Is for Vagitus."

It's unclear if this 'Cabin Fever' movie is a prequel or a sequel where we see the after effects and where the virus originated. So we'll keep you updated.
