Coach

Well, that was fast. Amid the current crop of unexpected TV revivals, NBC’s Coach redux with Craig T. Nelson certainly ranked among the more baffling, and while the network continues barreling forward with Heroes Reborn, Coach has officially been taken off the field.

TV’s current revival trend has yet to produce anything so unexpected as NBC’s upcoming Coach revival, though where Hayden Fox goes, Dauber would predictably follow. Bill Fagerbakke has been confirmed for the new Coach series, with a possibility for Jerry Van Dyke to join as well.

Now that most of the major pickups, cancellations and renewals have come to pass, the core networks set about revealing their fall schedules, as well as trailers and loglines for their latest offerings. First up is NBC, with a look at everything from the Jaimie Alexander Naked in A Bag Show, to Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s new comedy and even Wesley Snipes‘ new drama.

We just couldn’t leave well enough alone between The X-Files, Heroes, 24 and others, now Coach has been plucked from its grave for another go. Craig T. Nelson has been confirmed to lead an NBC revival of the classic sitcom, switching over from its original ‘90s run on ABC.
