Weekend Box Office: ‘Great Wall’ Can’t Stop ‘LEGO Batman’
What do audiences want to see on President’s Day weekend? Apparently not The Great Wall, Fist Fight, and A Cure For Wellness, each of which opened to disappointing numbers. However, The LEGO Batman Movie, Fifty Shades Darker, John Wick: Chapter 2, Hidden Figures and even Split kept the box office above water, continuing to do strong business.
Snitches Get Stitches in the ‘Fist Fight’ Red Band Trailer
A few hundred years ago we had gladiators, now we have the cinema, and it looks like 2017 is the year we get to see our favorite actors beat each other up. The new Red Band trailer for Ice Cube and Charlie Day’s Fist Fight starts off with a brief overview of how horrible the students are at this rough school, but it’s the teachers themselves who’ll start a royal rumble once one of them gets on the other’s bad side.
‘Fist Fight’ Trailer: Ice Cube and Charlie Day Go to War
More often than not, schoolteachers have just as much beef with each other as the students they teach. Acting like models of excellence in front of 30 or 40 kids a day has got to be exhausting, and sometimes we all just need to let off some steam. A movie starring both Charlie Day and Ice Cube — not to mention Tracy Morgan, Jillian Bell, and Christina Hendricks — hardly has to be marketed, but Warner Bros. has just released their second trailer for next year’s Fist Fight.
Ice Cube Wants to Fight Charlie Day in the ‘Fist Fight’ Trailer
In high school there was almost nothing more exciting than a school fight. The only thing that would make that refreshing break from youthful ennui even more thrilling is if that fight was between teachers. And thus, we have Fist Fight.
Ben Affleck’s ‘Live by Night’ Gets Another New Release Date
Ben Affleck’s commitment to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has caused a few delays for his next directorial effort, Live by Night, which was originally set to hit theaters in 2015. Warner Bros. has announced yet another new release date for the thriller, hopefully one that’s a bit more permanent this time around. The studio has also set dates for a few other films, including the sequel to The Conjuring spinoff Annabelle.
Tracy Morgan Returns to Film With ‘Fist Fight’
Tracy Morgan made quite the emotional return to the public eye during the 2015 Emmy Awards, his first televised appearance since the comedian’s involvement in a major car accident last year. In addition to hosting SNL this fall and working on his new FXX show, Morgan has also set his first film role since the accident: the actor and comedian has joined Ice Cube and Charlie Day in the upcoming comedy Fist Fight.
