This summer is going to be absolutely nuts. Not only do we have the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron to look forward to, but there’s also Mad Max: Fury Road, which is going to melt your faces right off. We got a sneak peek at some new footage during SXSW, and while that footage won’t end up online, we do have a few new explosive teasers to share. They might be brief, but they pack some serious action.

Last night, following a very special screening of The Road Warrior at SXSW, director George Miller treated us to seven minutes of action-packed new footage from Mad Max: Fury Road, as well as an exclusive new trailer created just for the fest. The new footage was brutal and gorgeous, and gave us a nice taste of Charlize Theron’s intensely bad ass Imperator Furiosa.

Sorry, Avengers: Age of Ultron, but we might just be a little more excited for Mad Max: Fury Road, which sees original Mad Max director George Miller returning to the gritty franchise for an exceedingly explosive new installment. To help you get even more pumped about Fury Road (if that’s even possible), Miller has teamed up with Vertigo to release a new art book and prequel comics for the film.

Not only is ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ one of our most anticipated films of 2015, but we named the fist-pumping trailer for the upcoming film the best trailer of 2014 (how could we not?). And while we patiently await more awesome trailers leading up the film’s release, Warner Bros. has revealed two new looks at leading man Tom Hardy via a couple of Empire magazine covers.

Though 'Mad Max: Fury Road' may star Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, if this film is anything like the previous entries it's possible they could be upstaged by the cars and stunts in the film.
