Well, FOX’s Sleepy Hollow certainly made a deal with the devil to reinvent Season 4 without star Nicole Beharie, but all demonic bargains backfire eventually. So it is, that FOX confirms Sleepy Hollow will not return for Season 5, despite a revamped cast and premise.

No one’s exactly sure if FOX’s once-breakout Sleepy Hollow can recapture any magic without the chemistry of lead stars Nicole Beharie and Tom Mison, but at least we’ll get the chance to see for ourselves soon enough. Ichabod Crane heads to Washington in a first trailer for Sleepy Hollow Season 4, picking up a new partner along the way.

It remains to be seen if FOX’s Sleepy Hollow can actually pull of revamping the series without the chemistry of Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie, but at least we know when the experiment begins.
