We've heard some rumblings over the last few years of a possible 'Saw 8,' but after the definitive events at the end of 'Saw 7,' it seemed like the franchise definitely needed to take a breather. Now, for the first time, the producers have spoken out about their plans for a new sequel as we approach the original film's 10th anniversary. And it looks like 'Saw' director James Wan and writer Leigh Whannell might just be ready to return to the series they started.

The 'Saw' franchise has been dead for a while now, but good news for fans of Jigsaw and his creepy little puppet: the original 'Saw' that started it all is heading back to theaters this October to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

With director James Wan off doing 'Fast and Furious 7' (and supposedly leaving his horror roots behind), the massively successful 'Insidious' franchise was without a director for 'Insidious 3' ... until right now! (Queue music sting! Movie news jump scare!) Today, it was announced that Leigh Whannell, the writer of the previous two films, will make his directorial debut with 'Insidious: Chapter 3.

We're still a couple of months away from the release of James Wan's 'Insidious Chapter 2' -- the first official trailer showed us that we're in for another spooky treat, and this first clip confirms that Wan is definitely up to his old scary tricks, with your favorite ghost hunters returning for another round with some sinister forces.
