Jim Carrey may not actually appear in Showtime comedy I’m Dying Up Here, but the funnyman producer will nevertheless step out from behind the camera. Carrey will topline his own Showtime comedy, reuniting with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind director Michel Gondry to do it.
This week sees the release of ‘Jupiter Ascending,’ the latest sci-fi adventure from Andy and Lana Wachowski. And while in all likelihood ‘Jupiter Ascending’ will not go down in history as one of the great works of its genre, the occasion of a new sci-fi epic from two of the modern masters of the form seemed like a good time to assess and celebrate the recent highlights of science fiction cinema, which has taken audiences from the furthest reaches of the cosmos to the deepest recesses of the human mind.
After delivering the big studio picture 'The Green Hornet,' it seems that Michel Gondry -- Academy Award winner for 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' -- wanted to regroup. He made the low budget indie 'The We and I,' which looks to be getting a limited release stateside on March 8, and has now delivered 'Mood Indigo,' which opens in France in April.
