Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have officially announced the start of production on their new Godzilla sequel, with Krampus director Michael Dougherty at the helm of the film that brings us one step closer to an epic crossover with Kong. Although the previously revealed title — Godzilla: King of the Monsters — is curiously absent from this morning’s announcement, it does offer some intriguing new plot details…including which classic monsters we can expect to see in the follow-up to Gareth Edwards’ 2014 blockbuster.

One of the main draws of this year’s Logan was the new mutant X-23, otherwise known as Laura, a usually quiet, sullen child who turns into a whirlwind of tooth and claw when the mood strikes. Logan’s Laura was played by the fantastic newcomer Dafne Keen, but there was a time during auditions when the role might have gone to a more recognizable face: Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown.

Sunday’s Stranger Things Season 2 Trailer premiere gave us quite a bit to chew on, but the Halloween premiere is going to the next year pretty torturous. After a breakout role in the popular Netflix series Stranger Things, it was only a matter of time before Millie Bobby Brown made her feature film debut. Many fans of the Star Wars films   have pointed out her uncanny resemblance to a young Carrie Fisher and raised the possibility of a Princess Leia standalone movie. And while that film seems destined to happen at some point  —  after all, for better or worse, the internet typically gets what it wants  —  it appears that Brown has targeted another blockbuster science fiction franchise for her big screen break out.
