Looks like #33 won't be hitting the Hunger Games field anytime soon. Taylor Kitsch, known for his days on 'Friday Night Lights' and this summer's 'Battleship' and 'John Carter,' is a guy whose name was being thrown around to co-star in the 'Hunger Games' sequel 'Catching Fire.' But according to Kitsch himself, it's not happening.

Kitsch was in the running to play Finnick Odair, a name that means absolutely nothing to most of the male population because they're dudes and we know nothing about this franchise. (Real men read Harry Potter.) The actor was rumored to be cast in the sequel that's set to start shooting this summer, but it appears as if it's not going to happen. And how do we know that?

When the Los Angeles Times asked him about playing Finnick, Kitsch simply stated: “Not going to happen.”

We do know that Kitsch has other commitments. He's going to star in 'Lone Survivor,' once again teaming up with director Peter Berg. That project is slated to begin production the same time Francis Lawrence begins working on 'Catching Fire' with Jennifer Lawrence and the rest of the surviving cast from the first film.

Sorry ladies. But fret not! We'll send some people from our office to audition for the role of Finnick Odair, so be prepared to drool over whichever online handsome young hunk manages to snags the part.
