Have you gotten tired of living out your life in The Sims 3 stuck in the boring suburbs? Well, pack your bags and head down to the tropics in The Sims 3: Island Paradise for PC. And thanks to a new Producer Walkthrough video, you'll know just what to do when you get there.

The newest expansion in the immensely-popular Sims series takes players down to the archipelago of Isla Paradiso. In the new Producer Walkthrough video, we're shown how The Sims 3 producer, Graham Nardone, guides his Sims through everyday life in the islands.

The first order of business is getting his Sims settled in a new house. But why would you want a yawn-inducing house on dry land when you can have a houseboat and gain the ability to sail around, letting you take your home with you wherever you go?

These houseboats come equipped with ladders instead of stairs and a combined shower/toilet bathroom in order to save space on the vessel. The coolest part of owning a houseboat is that you can sail around and finding dive spots, which could lead to the discovery of hidden treasure or an uncharted island.

We also get to see how resorts work and how you can set up your own resort on any deserted islands you find. You can choose the theme, the prices for everything and you can even choose the uniforms for your staff. If you do a good job and get positive reviews, you'll be able to add more facilities to your resort such as gyms, pool bars, and art galleries.

If you pre-order the Limited Edition version of the game, you'll get access to the Island Survival Pack, which gets you a bunch of exclusive items that will let your Sims survive, should they ever wash up on a deserted island.

Island Paradise will be released on June 25th, 2013, so you won't have to wait much longer to live it up on the islands. Watch the video above and let us know what you think of all the tropical activities in this expansion.
