British director Ben Wheatley has become someone to watch, with films like 'Down Terrace' and the upcoming black comedy 'Sightseers.' With 'Kill List,' Wheatley tells the story of a hitman who takes an assignment promising a huge payoff if he kills three people, but as he gets closer to his target, the story unfolds as something far more dark and sinister than he expected. To say much more would spoil the shocking conclusion of the film, but the road there is just as interesting as Wheatley crafts a dialogue-heavy story that lets the suspense creep in slowly, with little pieces of information and images creeping in along our protagonist's periphery to build a real sense of something off-putting.
