'Warcraft' Officially Reveals its Cast of Characters

Just yesterday we brought you the first official teaser posters from Duncan Jones' adaptation of 'Warcraft' as the director hit Blizzard's annual BlizzCon convention to host a panel for his upcoming film. Jones recently wrapped filming on the project, and while little has been known about the adaptation, the director finally revealed the lineup of characters and divulged some plot details about the Alliance and the Horde.

Yesterday's posters led fans to websites for 'Warcraft' that asked them to choose to fight for the Alliance or the Horde, teasing an epic battle in the film. Jones appeared at BlizzCon, the annual convention hosted by World of Warcraft video game publisher Blizzard, to host a panel and reveal more about his upcoming 'Warcraft' film. While there, he revealed more about the cast and who they're playing in the film.

Collider got the scoop, noting that Travis Fimmel will be leading the side of the Alliance as Anduin Lothar, our main protagonist and a war hero, while Dominic Cooper will play King Llane Wrynn, the leader of the Alliance city of Stormwind. Ben Foster stars as the enigmatic Medivh, a protector with immense power. Toby Kebbell is the lead protagonist for the opposing Horde faction, and 'Pacific Rim' star Rob Kazinsky is his right hand warrior.
