What are we to make of 'The Hobbit'? Or, rather, what are we to make of the upcoming 'The Hobbit' trilogy, which will extend JRR Tolkien's three hundred page book into a presumably nine hour experience comparable to the 'Lord of the Rings' films in scope? Although everyone has an opinion (because this is the internet), we can at least all agree that that we're all pretty excited to see what Peter Jackson and his team of geniuses will deliver. To further whet your appetite, a slightly revised version of the trailer for the first film 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' has made its way online.

Although very similar to the trailer that was released earlier this year, this alternate trailer (dubbed "Trailer 1.1" by many fans) contains a few new shots and alternate takes. So watch carefully, Tolkien obsessives!

For those of you who want to know what changed between the first trailer and this one, the ever-reliable The One Ring broke it down for the casual fans:

0:23 — Bilbo’s reaction to Gandalf’s arrival

1:57 — Bilbo hiding behind a tree in Mirkwood

1:59 — Gandalf, the dwarves, and Bilbo running through a forest

So...not too many changes, but we'll take what we can get at this point! 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' opens this December, with part two opening a year later and part three arriving the following summer.
