The CBS brass have gone on record stating their 2013 development season might not contain as many surprises as the other networks, what with the plethora of successful series in no need of replacement or filler. The eye network certainly holds the market as far as long-running procedurals as well, earlier renewing 'NCIS' for an eleventh season, and today renewing 'CSI' for an astonishing fourteenth season. Ted Danson will be on board again, so find out who from 'CSI' will reprise their roles inside!

For those who weren't expecting CBS' long-running procedural series 'CSI' to go anywhere, we have good news. It isn't! CBS announced today that the Ted Danson-starring procedural will return for season 14 this fall, with most of its acting talent in place after negotiations for extended contracts.

"'CSI' is synonymous with CBS, and we are so proud of the series' creative and commercial legacy and its continued success on our Network,” CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler said in a statement. "The writers and producers have done an amazing job evolving CSI, reinventing the show around an incredible leading man in Ted Danson, the acclaimed Elisabeth Shue and our beloved and talented core of original cast members."

George Eads, Jorja Fox, Eric Szmanda, Paul Guilfoyle, Robert David Hall, Wallace Langham, Elisabeth Harnois, David Berman and Jon Wellner will all return for the fourteenth round of 'CSI,' which continues winning its Wednesday 10:00 PM time slot. Danson first joined in the series' 11th year replacing Laurence Fishburne, who himself originally replaced William Petersen,
