Much like how everyone in the world saw the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy, everyone in the world is surely going to see 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' and its follow-up, 'The Hobbit: There and Back Again.' Although this makes advertising for these films feel ever-so-slightly redundant, it's impossible to look upon this new Comic Con poster and not get that chill down your spin: we're going back to Middle Earth this December.

The poster comes straight from director Peter Jackson's Facebook page and it's the kind of simple, beautiful design that we wish studios would embrace more often. No badly photoshopped floating heads, just Ian McKellen's Gandalf the Grey, strolling through the epic landscape surrounding the Shire (AKA, the impossibly beautiful New Zealand countryside).

Although we won't get to see the first entry in the cinematic 'Hobbit' saga until December 14th, Screencrush will be at the Comic Con panel on July 14th, so report back here for everything you need to know!
