The apes are comin' home to roost, y'all. A new 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' poster has arrived and has brought with it two of the most exciting aspects of the sequel: apes with guns on horses.

We've been pretty excited so far about 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,' which looks like it could be one of the big surprises this summer. But, really how surprising would it be? 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' was a fantastic relaunch of the franchise and this sequel looks to continue that tradition.

This is a pretty exciting, iconic image (via IGN) of Caesar rallying his troops as the Golden Gate Bridge literally crumbles and burns behind him. The only thing we can't get from a trailer is Caesar's speech, as he learns and teaches the rest of his group to speak. The official plot description is as follows:

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.

The film stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smith-McPhee, Enrique Murciano and Kirk Acevedo.

'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' opens in theaters on July 11.
