Dylan O’Brien, the 24-year-old star of the Maze Runner franchise, was severely injured on the set of the upcoming sequel The Death Cure in Vancouver, British Columbia. According to TMZ, the actor was accidentally run over by a car while filming and was rushed to the hospital with “multiple broken bones.”

O’Brien, also the star of MTV’s Teen Wolf, is currently undergoing treatment at a Vancouver hospital. His condition has not yet been reported, but we have reached out to 20th Century Fox for comment and will update as soon as we have more information.

UPDATE: Fox told us in a statement, “Dylan O’Brien was injured yesterday while filming Maze Runner: The Death Cure in Vancouver, Canada. He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery.”

Maze Runner: The Death Cure was scheduled to open in theaters on February 17, 2017 but given the extent of the injuries, will most likely be pushed back as production is halted while O’Brien recovers from his injuries.
