Why Meryl Streep Owes Emily Blunt (Big Time)

Things apparently got buckwild on the set of ‘Into the Woods,’ with acting queen of the world (that is her official title, by the way) Meryl Streep very nearly dying (read: probably not dying, but let’s go with it) when she almost fell off a table. It was, however, a witchy table that she happened to be jumping on while playing a witch, complete with witchy robes, which she (witchily?) tripped on. Streep’s fall was broken by one single brave soul: Emily Blunt.

Blunt shared her heroic story with ‘Late Show’ host David Letterman last night, boasting of her ability to save lives while others stood by. Even better? She was pregnant at the time. Streep owes her—big time—and so does the rest of Hollywood.
