New ‘How I Met Your Mother’ Final Season Premiere Photos: Major Mother Spoiler Revealed?

'How I Met Your Mother' will mark the beginning of the end with next week's hourlong premiere, "The Locket / Coming Back," the first photos of the latter emerging yesterday, but it looks as if a major 'HIMYM' reveal might have leaked in the latest look. We've already met the mother, but what landmark moment has the September 23 premiere been hiding?

The photos we'd already seen from the 'How I Met Your Mother' premiere's latter half showed new series regular Cristin Milioti putting in an appearance as the still-unnamed mother, though it seems a new batch of photos from Star World India reveal something wholly unexpected: Ted and the mother together!

Granted, we're likely seeing things at a future date, giving us a chance to observe the chemistry between Ted and his bride-to-be without waiting until the end of the final season, but the image of the two together does come as something of a surprise. For one, we know that all of Ted's friends will meet the mother before he himself, but for now it seems fans won't have to wait very long.

Meanwhile, the final season of ‘How I Met Your Mother’ has recruited such guest stars as ‘True Blood‘'s Anna Camp (replacing ‘The Office”s Ellie Kemper), ‘Revenge‘ star Roger Bart, Sherri Shepherd, and Wayne Brady and John Lithgow reprising their roles as Barney’s brother James and biological father Jerry. In addition to clarifying the final season’s wedding weekend format, CBS has also released plenty of new promos, clips and photos.
