That ‘Jersey Shore’ Reunion Was a … Burger King Commercial?
This past weekend saw word of a possible Jersey Shore reunion coalescing, but not necessarily at MTV. Now, near of the entire cast has reunited for a new Burger King commercial, and … wait, that’s it? Come on, there has to be more.
Numerous members of the Jersey Shore cast had been spotted filming around Point Pleasant Beach and Asbury Park, including Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and Deena Nicole Cortese, with other reports indicating Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Pauly D, Vinnie Gaudagnino and Ronnie Ortiz were in the area. Now, Burger King has released an extended spot of the cast (minus Ortiz) gathering for a “Chicken Parm Family Dinner” at the fast-food restaurant.
That said, it’s unlikely the commercial represents the entire effort, which included numerous permits through Bright Road Productions under the name “Roadtrip Reunion.” Lest we forget, Langosta Lounge entertainment director Peter Mantas gave a fantastic quote to the Asbury Park Press, saying “They called 10 days before they wanted to film and we said no freaking way, it’ll be bad publicity. Bring those meatheads to the Langosta Lounge? No way.” Sorrentino also apparently told PageSix that the commercial wasn’t the only reunion planned, as “There’s definitely more to come.”
We’ll see what else shakes out on the potential Jersey Shore reunion, but is the cast otherwise best-left confined to Burger King?
