BREAKING: John Boyega is sitting down. The Star Wars actor tweeted a new photo of himself in character as Jake Pentecost on the set for Pacific Rim: Uprising, and he’s got a lot on his mind. (Nod to /Film for taking notice.) Take a look at the photo below, with Boyega captioning it simply with “I am Pentecost. 2018 #PacificUprising” in reference to the film’s slated release date of February 23, 2018. Take a look:

So, yup, Boyega, having himself a nice sit down. He appears to be near some sort of large circular door or hatch. What‘s he thinking about? What’s behind the door? We don‘t know! Maybe there’s a monster behind the door, as is typical of the Pacific Rim universe. Boyega knows, but he’s not telling.

Boyega’s joined in the cast by fellow newcomers Tian Jing, Jin Zhang, Mackenyu, Cailee Spaeny, and Scott Eastwood, along with returning stars Charlie Day as Newt, Rinko Kikuchi as Mako Mori, and Burn Gorman as Gottlieb. Boyega’s looking ahead to a big year himself, with roles lined up in the adaptation of thriller novel The Circle, a drama about the Detroit Riots of 1967 from Kathryn Bigelow, and a little picture called Star Wars: The Last Jedi that you may have heard about. And for those readers in need of an immediate fix to curb their Boyega needs, his indie drama Imperial Dreams just came to Netflix. It’s a Boyega world, and we‘re all just living in it.
