John Noble + Jack Nicholson as the Joker — Dead Ringers?

John Noble's character in 'Fringe' has always mildly weirded us out, and for the longest time we couldn't figure out why.

He plays Walter Bishop, a scientific paranormal researcher and all-around pretty decent guy, who spent several years in a mental institution before joining the FBI. But it's that last part that sends chills up our spines and the reason is simple -- he has an uncanny resemblance to Jack Nicholson's iconic Joker character from 'Batman.'

The drooping dimples, the nose, the same receding hair line. Dye Noble's hair green, paint on some white makeup, give him a red Cover Girl-perfect smile, and he could be throwing people off buildings while screaming, "Why so serious?"
