John Oliver Has Some Thoughts on the Super Bowl

John Oliver is afraid of the Super Bowl. The ‘Last Week Tonight’ host has admirably dedicated himself to understand American pursuits—especially sports—since he came across the pond to be funny and say smart things on television, but even he is a little terrified of the Super Bowl.

On last night's ‘Late Show,’ Oliver shared just a few of his observations about the event with host David Letterman, who had presumably never thought of “Katy Perry glitter bombs” or how weird it is that the event involves fighter jets. Admittedly, we hadn't thought of those things before, either, and now we're just as afraid as Oliver is. America! Sports! Glitter!
