We don't know exactly what MTV's take on the 'Scream' franchise will look like, given recent rumors that suggested the iconic "Ghost Face" killer would have no part in the Kevin Williamson-adapted horror reboot, but the network will at least give us the chance to learn the rules all over again. The 'Scream' TV series has officially been granted the green light with a full season for October 2015.

Centering around a viral video that brings about deadly repercussions, and with Jamie Travis directing a script from Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin, the 'Scream' TV series stars 'Arrow''s Bex Taylor-Klaus, Bobby Campo, Connor Weil and Joel Gretsch. Jill Blotevogel will serve as showrunner, with Wes Craven, Marianne Maddalena and Cathy Konrad executive producing.

The new series will consist of 10 episodes to start, premiering in October 2015, and presumably being paired with MTV's other surprisingly successful horror remake, 'Teen Wolf.' So far as we know, the 'Scream' TV series is not intended to share any continuity with, or cross over with any of the characters from the horror franchise of the same name.

Well, what do you think? Would you be interested to see what 'Scream' MTV can conjure up for Halloween 2015? How do you think the new series should interact with the films?
