Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles No Longer Mutants OR Teenagers?

Let the fan backlash continue. It appears that there might be a couple more changes going to the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' reboot which includes chopping down the brand name once more. One of the best traits about the turtles was the fact that they were young, wide-eyed, pizza loving teenagers who still didn't entirely know how the world works. It may be time to throw all of that into the garbage can.

/Film reports that there's a rumor floating around that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles no longer be teenagers. Add that onto the fact that they're not mutants but aliens and we have one super pissed off fan base.

If that's the case, then rumor has it that the title will actually be sized down simply to 'Ninja Turtles.' Although many fans would be fuming at this point over the fact that they're making dramatic changes on our favorite group of turtles, maybe this will be a change for the better. After all, in the past week plenty of people from the actors all the way down to creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird have backed the changes for the new movie.

Maybe the best thing for fans to do right now is actually take producer Michael Bay's advice, chill out and just be ready for whatever they dish out on the big screen. Either that or do your best to give the movie a try while still simmering with a twinge of hatred over the changes like I am.
