The newest additions to the Pokedex in Pokemon X and Y have been revealed, giving us a look at the strange creatures we'll encounter, fight and befriend.

The Pokemon shown below are the latest pocket monsters to be revealed by Nintendo. The first squid-like creature is called an Inkay. Ain't it cute? This little guy is equipped with an ability called Contrary, which causes effects that would lower its stats to increase them instead! Its evolved form is called Malamar, a powerful Dark/Psychic Type that retains the Contrary ability.

The panda-like creature is called a Pancham and always has a leaf sticking out of its mouth. This wee bear is a Fighting Type and evolves into the large Pangoro, which is a Fighting/Dark Type. According to its description, it "has a strong heart and doesn't forgive those who pick on the weak."

Last, but not least, are the Fairy Type Pokemon that are version-exclusives. You can only find the confection-addicted Swirlix in Pokemon X and the fragrant Spritzee in Pokemon Y.

Let us know which of these Pokemon you're looking forward to catching when the games come out for the Nintendo 3DS on Oct. 12, 2013.
