Even as Rotten Tomatoes continues to highlight divisions between audiences and critics, some of the best TV nonetheless gets its due. A full seventy-nine series managed to keep a “Certified Fresh” rating in 2017, and just ten took home the coveted perfect score. Did your favorite make the list?

In addition to its year-end movies list, Rotten Tomatoes released its annual TV list, featuring seventy-nine series ranking in from 100% scores to 73% (you’ll get there, Great News). Only ten kept a full 100% rating, including some natural favorites like Netflix’s Master of None, and unsung entries like Amazon’s Sneaky Pete, or CBS sequel series The Good Fight:

  1. Master of None – Season 2
  2. Dear White People – Season 1
  3. The Good Fight – Season 1
  4. American Crime – Season 3
  5. The Good Place – Season 1
  6. Broadchurch – Season 3
  7. Insecure – Season 2
  8. Sneaky Pete – Season 1
  9. Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return – Season 1
  10. Silicon Valley – Season 4

Granted, plenty of other beloved series weren’t far behind. Eternal awards snub The Leftovers finished its third season with 98%, while miniseries like Alias Grace or Five Came Back also made big splashes in the high 90s. Even today’s Black Mirror release has the series at 96%, while major entries like Game of Thrones rank in with a respectable 94%. Not to mention, Tomatometer scores are subject to change with additional reviews, while certain series (cough, Sneaky Pete) have fewer – but higher – reviews overall.

Don’t forget our own rankings of the year’s TV best, and stay tuned for more as we brace for the onslaught of 2018 premieres.
