'Star Trek Into Darkness' played up the light and fun side of the movie in its last trailer, but in the newest international trailer, there's a lot more destruction and a lot more of Benedict Cumberbatch's John Harrison destroying things.

This new trailer plays up the mayhem, from a helicopter shooting up a meeting (which reminds us of 'The Godfather Part III') to the crash landing of a starfleet ship. There's also a good look at Peter Weller, who's been MIA from the footage so far, and more of Karl Urban's Bones. The one thing that comes across is that this is a big movie -- even bigger than the last -- as the scale in this footage is very impressive. All in all, this trailer should get you pumped for the movie.

Here's the film's synopsis:

In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organization, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth.  In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice.

As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

And here's that new trailer. 'Star Trek Into Darkness' hits theaters May 16.
