The Nintendo 3DS eShop is getting a bevvy of classic NES-era games this fall, including some sought after classics that haven't been seen in ages.

The 3DS eShop will grow quite a bit in the coming months, and the collection of retro games you'll be able to take on the go should make any fan of Nintendo pretty happy. First, the rare title Summer Carnival '92: RECCA will finally see the light of day. Developed for a festival in Japan during 1992, the shmup has the notoriety of being one of the most challenging ever.

On Aug. 15, Donkey Kong will hit the portable digital download store, with Tecmo Bowl set to follow in September. Wario Land 3, the GameBoy Color classic, will make its way to the eShop soon thereafter, with the highly regarded Super Mario Bros. 3 hitting the eShop before the end of 2013. SMB3 will also be available on the Wii U around the same time.

That's a pretty strong line-up, even if some of the games are already widely available on other Nintendo platforms. Wario Land 3 and SMB 3 should make great additions to your on-the-go library, and we hope Nintendo has a few more eShop surprises in store for the rest of the year.
