“A bunch of hilarious people have one crazy, drunken night” is a familiar plot, and thanks to last year’s The Night Before, we’ve seen what happens when you put that in the context of holiday spirit — which makes this trailer for Office Christmas Party kind of impressive, considering how amusing it looks despite the fact that it feels like something we’ve seen before (Jillian Bell included).

There’s a moment early on in The Neon Demon, in which a fantastically icy Abbey Lee tells Elle Fanning’s doe-eyed aspiring model the first thing women notice about other women. Basically it’s: “Who is she f—ing? Could I f— them? How high can she climb? And is it higher than me?" It’s the closest thing to a thesis statement you’ll find in Nicolas Winding Refn’s latest film, a stylishly surreal effort that’s equal parts deranged fairy tale and devious satire, where all that glitters is ultimately cold.

After years of development, The Dark Tower film based on Stephen King’s series of novels is finally heading to the big screen, with Idris Elba in the role of gunslinger Roland Deschain and Matthew McConaughey as the villainous Man in Black. Today brings another interesting addition to the cast, as Mad Max: Fury Road star Abbey Lee has joined the ambitious, long-developing project…but the description of her role will have Dark Tower fans seriously scratching their heads.
