Ash Vs. Evil Dead

Good ol’ groovy Bruce Campbell has remained as handsome as ever, but can the aging lothario still slip into the aging lothario role of Starz’s Ash Vs. Evil Dead? A resounding Hail to the King, as Ash returns to chainsaw-wielding form by the first photo of Starz’s new Deadite drama.

Starz’s Outlander made a big splash at Comic-Con last year, but will Claire or Jamie be groovy enough to handle what big Bruce brings to the table? We’ll find out at Comic-Con 2015, as Starz takes both Outlander and Ash Vs. Evil Dead to the big show in San Diego. Oh yes, kings will be hailed, on either side.

Starz’s Ash Vs. Evil Dead won’t officially get groovy until its fall 2015 premiere, but our favorite former S-Mart stockboy was going to have to bloody up that chainsaw sooner or later. Hail to the King with a new revved up promo fro Ash’s glorious Deadite-sawing return.

So far, there have been four total Evil Dead movies: The Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness and Evil Dead (2013). Every one of them has featured the same 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 (nicknamed “The Classic”), which is director Sam Raimi’s car from college. This is just one of the facts packed into the latest episode of You Think You Know Movies, which heads to a cabin in the woods with the Evil Dead series!

We’re still in a bout of disbelief over Starz returning Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell to their respective grooves for Ash Vs. Evil Dead, but that certainly won’t stop the Deadites from rising. Now, the trio of Campbell, Raimi and Rob Tapert have opened up on details of the new series, also revealing the first production photo.
