While you wait (very patiently, right?) for tonight’s premiere of the latest trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Lucasfilm has revealed a new poster to tide you over — okay, it’s probably not going to make you any less anxious to peep that new trailer, but it’s something. Like the previous posters, this one is all about red, capitalizing on what was easily the coolest shot in the first trailer.

You might not even recognize her.

We’ve gone a few months without checking in on Star Wars: Forces of Destiny, and they’re about to go into hyperdrive. Disney will premiere two new half-hour installments of the shorts, featuring a number of connections between Rebels, Rogue One, The Force Awakens and more.

The countdown to Episode VIII continues with a new batch of images of Rian Johnson’s latest addition to the galaxy far, far away.

Mads Mikkelsen, like Jack Nicholson and Vincent Price before him, is one of those villain actors. He’s played the baddie so many times and so well, that it’s weird now to see him in a role like he had in Rogue One, where he’s not eating people’s limbs in front of them or trying to kill James Bond. Which is why it’s great to see him back in his nefarious little comfort zone as the antagonist in Doug Liman’s upcoming post-apocalyptic thriller Chaos Walking.

While Disney might be holding back some of its best stuff for Comic-Con this year, that doesn’t mean there weren’t a few Star Wars: The Last Jedi teasers that they could share at this past weekend’s D23. Just yesterday, we were treated to a new featurette that went behind the scenes of the production; right on the heels of that comes these new character posters, a beautiful new mix of familiar faces and bright colors. It’s not exactly the brand new trailer that some were hoping for, but it should keep us occupied until the next opportunity presents itself.

Disney has this whole Star Wars: The Last Jedi thing pretty much on lock until the next trailer, but Rey’s adventures don’t have to stop there. Witness an animated excerpt from The Force Awakens with the first official Star Wars Forces of Destiny short, featuring Daisy Ridley!
