Goosebumps

For fans of R.L. Stine’s classic ‘Goosebumps’ book series, it’s hard to imagine how those diverse books will translate to one movie adaptation. With stories of mummies, evil dummies, various monsters and ghouls—how can they pack all that and Jack Black into one film? We’ve long wondered just how many monsters the film would feature, and now thanks to these new monster portraits, we’ve got an idea. The answer is a whole bunch, including a few that readers will no doubt recognize.

Now this is scary. The Wrap is reporting that Jack Black is in talks to star in a movie version of the classic scary-story franchise 'Goosebumps' most of us grew up reading as kids. Unfortunately, it all sounds like a really bad Adam Sandler comedy.

Based on the long-running and best-selling young adult book series by R.L. Stine, 'Goosebumps' has been in development as a film for about five years, and it's finally found a director in Rob Letterman.
