Once upon a time, AMC’s Into the Badlands dragged its feet on a Season 2 renewal after only six episodes. Now, Sunny’s profile has risen, enough to snag an early Season 3 renewal with as many episodes as Seasons 1 and 2 combined.

Those disappointed with Iron Fist were encouraged to compare the Season 2 premiere of Into the Badlands that very weekend, and the AMC drama has now surprisingly come to the Netflix hero’s defense.
