Leprechaun

I guess there really is the luck of the Irish.

The original 'Leprechaun' may be relatively well known among genre fans, but it's not particularly good or well liked. So we're fairly open minded about the upcoming remake/reboot, 'Leprechaun: Origins,' and bring almost no baggage to the new trailer. After all, we're sure someone is capable of taking one of the silliest (to a fault) horror franchises of all time and making it work as a dark and deadly film. Right? Right?!

If you're going to remake something, you might as well take on a film that was never particularly good to begin with. That makes the longrunning (and consistently awful) 'Leprechaun' series perfect for a reset. With the right talent behind the camera, maybe some good can be mined out of one of the horror genre's worst franchises. But who will sit behind the camera and direct the latest misadventur

Over the years, the WWE has sent various superstars from the wrestling mats to major Hollywood studios in hopes of sparking feature-film careers. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, John Cena, Hulk Hogan and, of course, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson all have had varying degrees of success on the silver screen. Now the diminutive wrestler Hornswoggle’s going to try and follow in their massive footsteps.

With next week's release of 'The Hunger Games' and all the positive buzz on the web from critics, Lionsgate seems poised to become a studio we can take more seriously... But then they went and did this.
