The Brink may have succeeded in staving off its titular precipice for a second season, but HBO surprisingly seems to have pushed the Jack Black - Tim Robbins geopolitical comedy right back over. The network has officially rescinded its Season 2 renewal, opting instead to cancel The Brink outright.
HBO’s geopolitical comedy The Brink seemed somewhat touch-and-go for a bit, as Dwayne Johnson’s Ballers picked up a Season 2 renewal, while Brink’s all-star cast of Tim Robbins, Jack Black and Aasif Mandvi drew closer to expiring contracts. That said, The Brink made it to the very edge with a Season 2 pickup, confirming its return for 2016.
