Put Michael Fassbender in a movie, and it’s pretty much guaranteed that we’ll watch it, especially if he’s playing something of a bad ass. That’s the case in Slow West, a new indie western starring Fassbender as a gun-toting stranger who assists a young Scottish traveler in the search for the girl he loves. The first trailer has officially arrived, and although Fassbender helping a young man in his quest for love sounds swoon-worthy, this film has a bit of an edge.
While we didn’t make it over to Park City this year for the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, we’ve definitely been keeping track of the reactions to this year’s lineup from our critics and colleagues. The Sundance awards were announced last night, and as many predicted, the big winner of the evening was ‘Me and Earl and the Dying Girl,’ from director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon.
