If you thought things around Star Wars would get less secretive now that the notoriously unforthcoming J.J. Abrams wasn’t directing things, think again. Even knowing what we know about Star Wars: The Last Jedi based on the events of Abrams’ The Force Awakens, there might be even more uncertainly around Rian Johnson’s eighth episode in the Star Wars saga.
Though Star Wars: The Force Awakens takes place over 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, director J.J. Abrams still found a way to work on some classic characters who had long since passed on. Kylo Ren has a conversation with Darth Vader’s helmet. Obi-Wan speaks to Rey during her Force vision. And, there was one additional cameo that ultimately was cut from the film: Yoda.
The ‘Star Wars’ universe is riddle with mysteries. Did Han shoot first? How come Chewbacca doesn’t get a medal at the end of ‘A New Hope?’ And how come Yoda insists on speaking in semi-reverse order? While most of those questions remain unanswered, a new video at least attempts to fix Yoda’s bizarre speech pattern. Wait, I’m sorry. Fix it, they do.
