Take a Look at Colin Trevorrow’s Da Vinci-esque ‘The Book of Henry’ Poster

After Colin Trevorrow finished work on Jurassic World and before he starts on Star Wars: Episode IX, he took on a smaller-scale project called The Book of Henry. The plot is pretty mysterious: it involves a single mother taking care of her son who just so happens to be a supergenius. A ton of talent is attached to the picture, including Naomi Watts, Room’s Jacob Tremblay, Lee Pace, Sarah Silverman, Breaking Bad’s Dean Norris, and Sia’s dancing doppelganger Maddie Ziegler. If that’s not enough to catch your interest, Michael Giacchino will be composing the score. The first poster for the film was released today, and it looks certifiably Da Vincian.

The poster doesn’t give too much away: two boys stand staring at a wall full of drawings of wheeled devices, flying machines, and something to the upper right that looks like maybe a particle collider. The tagline reads, “Never leave things undone,” which sounds like a line from a nice sentimental family film, or the internal mantra of someone afflicted with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Or something a Bond villain might say.

This isn’t the first time Trevorrow has dealt with inventor-type characters. His first feature that put him on the map was Safety Not Guaranteed, about a man who tries to build a time machine, so he probably feels pretty comfortable around the characters in The Book of Henry. And it’s proabably kind of nice for him to get back to his roots a little before taking on another franchise-heavy blockbuster.

The Book of Henry will have a limited release in select cities starting June 16, 2017.
