‘UnREAL’ Season 4 Gets Ominous Episode Order Cut
We haven’t yet seen if UnREAL can rebound from the misstep of Season 2, but an already-ordered fourth season is now making fans nervous. Long before Season 3 even premieres, Lifetime has decided to pull back its episode order for the fourth year.
According to TVLine, UnREAL Season 4 will break the mold of its first three seasons by trimming from ten episodes to eight. No explanation was given, nor would bosses comment, but it’s not the greatest portent after Season 3 delayed its premiere to an undefined date in 2018.
Also confirmed is that executive producer Stacy Rukeyser will stay on as UnREAL Season 4 showrunner, its third in as many years, after taking over from Carol Barbee and series creator Marti Noxon. Meanwhile, the third season will feature Masters of Sex alum Caitlin Fitzgerald as the first female Everlasting lead, Serena, described as “a successful Silicon Valley venture capitalist who’ll win America over with her outward strength and inner vulnerability.”
Stay tuned for more on UnREAL Season 3, as an official Season 3 premiere can’t be more than a few months away.
